Important Note: This document covers a legacy method. Please see our Legacy Features document for an overview of legacy methods, and their up to date counterparts. A newer method is to use the Flickr Element directly in your page content.

Most of the widgets that come with Avada are the default WordPress widgets do not require any setup. Some of our custom Avada widgets have various options, but all are self explanatory. However the Flickr widget is unique in that they require account setup to display correctly. Please read below for information on how to set up the Flickr widget.

How To Set Up The Flickr Widget

Step 1 – Go to the Appearance > Widgets in your admin section.
Step 2 – Find the Flickr widget and drag it to a sidebar or footer column of your choice.
Step 3 – Add your Flickr ID. On the General tab, set your Flickr ID to pull your own Flickr feed into the Element. This value is called the NSID and has a format like this: 12345678@N05. To find your ID, you can just go to https://www.flickr.com/services/api/explore/flickr.urls.lookupUser and if you are logged in, you will see your Flickr ID at the top of the right hand column. Copy and paste this into the Flickr ID field, and your Flickr photostream should instantly appear on the page.
Step 4 – Copy and paste the ID into the corresponding field of the Flickr widget.
Step 5 – Select the number of photos to show.
Step 6 – The default API key will already be filled in and it will work, but if you wish you can also generate your own by clicking the “Flickr App Garden” link. This only works for Pro Flickr accounts.
Step 7 – Save, and you’re all done!
